After tumbling Brizalla to her gruesome death below, the three would-be heroes deliberate what to do next. They tear apart her office, learning that the maps on her walls are of the areas surrounding Paddlewick and finding ledgers on her desk. Grabbing it all to examine later, they also steal: a feather-engraved ring, a purple prism, a Rubik’s Cube-like cypher, and most importantly, a locked lockbox, presumably containing Lord Cravern’s stolen crown. Finally, they trigger a trap in Brizalla’s desk, destroying two health potions they could’ve, honestly, used.

Following crashing noises downstairs, Scram sneaks down (still disguised as Barry the Grimlock) and persuades the guards to examine Brizalla’s fallen body outside. Zola, lacking any healing abilities, splashes water on Prya’s face to try and rouse her, but the cleric is too wounded to walk on her own.

Zola rallies the villagers with an inspiring speech, and with the help of Scram’s illusions, they escape the tower and push past the forces of Grimlocks and guards… right into their camp.
